Week 5 - Brainstorming

Our group began using miro brainstorming several different ideas that could eventually become the solution to our problem statement. This was a dump of everything and anything we could think of. We were careful not to constrain any ideas or become too limited in scope. After the exercise was completed, we found it interesting that there were similar traits found between some of the ideas and that they formed connections or relationships with one another, and so we consequently decided to combine some of them. We also grouped similar ideas to keep our thoughts more organized.

Once we had these ideas grouped, we asked our TA to take a look and discuss any ideas that they thought were interesting, stood out or initiated an experience share that could spark ideas for our

project. In the end, the idea that stood out most was the "strategy simulation game" concept.

In this strategy simulation game, players can design the infrastructure distribution for Edinburgh, which is inhabited by different classes of people, and drive the border's expansion. Over time, historical information becomes the trigger that drives the game, and players learn how different classes in a city affect the territorial changes in the region they build on the city by themselves, thereby increasing their knowledge of historical events.
